Comprehensive eye exams, same-day urgent eye care, glasses and contacts — from Dr. Stephen Eap, caring for Long Beach families on Spring Street since 1994. To see, and be seen.
A website can sell you glasses, but it can't examine your eyes for glaucoma, the early signs of diabetes, or what's behind that headache. And a red, painful, or suddenly-blurry eye can't wait two weeks for the next open slot at a chain. EAP Optometry is a real medical eye-care practice with one doctor who actually knows you. Dr. Eap diagnoses, treats, and manages eye conditions himself — and has been right here on Spring Street since 1994.
Every patient here is a v.EYE.p.
One doctor who remembers your history. A friendly team that's been here for years. And real help when something's wrong with your eyes — not a phone tree.
A red, irritated, or suddenly-blurry eye can't wait. Same-day appointments and walk-ins are available so you're seen by a doctor when it matters, not weeks later.
Dr. Eap has cared for Long Beach families since 1994. You see the same doctor each visit — someone who knows your eyes, your history, and your name.
Frames, sunglasses, and contact lenses chosen and fitted with you in the room, by people who do this every day — not a website guessing at your prescription.
Our office manager Veronica has been here since 2004, and Karina is fluent in Spanish. You're greeted by familiar faces in the Stater Bros. center on Palo Verde & Spring.
Red eye, sudden blurry vision, flashes or floaters, a chemical splash, or something stuck in your eye? Same-day appointments and walk-ins are available so a doctor, not a website, can take a look right away.

Talk to the doctorIn 1994, Dr. Stephen Eap opened EAP Optometry to serve the residents of Long Beach and the surrounding communities. More than thirty years later, he's still the doctor you'll see when you walk in.
A UCLA graduate, Dr. Eap earned his optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and his law degree from the Pacific Coast University School of Law. His focus is simple: diagnose, treat, and manage eye conditions with the latest knowledge and techniques, and treat every patient in an attentive, caring way.
You won't be handed off between strangers here. Office manager Veronica has been with the practice since 2004, and the team — including Spanish-speaking Karina — helps with exams, optical dispensing, and contact lens training. For us, every patient is a v.EYE.p.
